Customers will now be able to open PPF account as per their convenience using the bank's digital channel of internet and mobile banking. 

The bank has said that it is the first bank to start this digital system by adopting a completely documents process to open a PPF account, On the other hand, the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has launched a new facility for its 4.5 crore members. Under this, many Provident Fund (PF) accounts can be merged with the existing Universal Portable Account Number (UAN). Under this facility, EPFO ​​shareholders will be able to connect 10 old accounts with UAN at one go. 

Currently, EPFO ​​shareholders have to make a transfer claim online using UAN on EPFO's UAN portal separately. To get this facility, they have to activate their UAN.
